Anne Anderson on Galle, Lalique and their Influence on Glassmakers
Émile Gallé was a French artist and designer who worked in glass. He is considered to be one of the major innovators in the French Art Nouveau movement. René Lalique is well known for his glass but, as Anne will explain, he also made wonderful jewellery from gold, horn, glass and enamel and went on to make the now famous perfume bottles and stoppers.
